MALTA WITH SUPER HEROES AND FOR SUPER HEROES

Our informal youth group “Ihnilates tou fotos” participated in the training project called "The Super Heroes in Science “The project took part in Malta from 4 to 11 November 2018. In total, ten countries have been participated, Portugal, Greece Italy, Poland, Lithuania, Romania, Azerbaijan, Turkey and FYROM. Our country was represented by a leader and two young students from the Art University of Thessaloniki.
During the project, which dealt with comic books, there were developed actions related to the creation of comic-, super heroes. There were discussed ways to integrate super heroes into the classroom to provide solutions to problems such as bulling, racism, etc. How can educators create super heroes with their students to help them with better learning through non-formal learning methods and letting the students' imagination self-act with guidance. The participants became creators, created "problems", and worked together in a collaborative way. The theoretical part was embedded in school visits, where we had an effective participation of students .The educators have helped us to understand and learn how a comic is being created, how help in the learning process and how the existing super heroes can be used in the classroom. How this method can help the students with difficulties.
The project was admittedly successful. The days passed well with learning and action. We have the chance to meet the beauties of an amazing craggy place. Malta with its historical path was all around us. We can see huge castles, churches, old and modern monuments everywhere. The yellow color of limestone covers the buildings combined with the blue of the sea. Weather was amazing, the Sea was clear, people were full of smile and kindness. We thank the coordinators and the participants for the beautiful moments of life, learning and action we had. Friendships and contacts have been created which we believe will help all of us. Moreover, the Erasmus + projects  "Open up roads ... change lives".
